About GriDDown
Building resilience for when the grid goes down.
Our Mission
GriDDown Red Alert exists because modern life has a single point of failure: the grid.
When cell towers fail, power grids collapse, and cloud apps vanish, most people discover their "emergency plan" doesn't work. By then, it's too late to learn, too late to buy, too late to coordinate.
We build tools that help families, teams, and organizations practice emergency coordination before disaster strikes—using the same offline-first systems they'll rely on when everything else fails.
Our Philosophy
Offline-First
If it requires internet to work, it will fail when you need it most. Every feature works without connectivity.
Practice, Don't Panic
Under stress, you fall to your level of training. Monthly drills build the muscle memory that saves lives.
Own Your Data
Self-hosted means you control your emergency plans, locations, and contacts. We never see your data.
The Team
GriDDown is built by people who've experienced infrastructure failures firsthand.
Daniel
Founder & DeveloperFormer enterprise software architect turned resilience evangelist. After watching families struggle to coordinate during the 2021 Texas freeze, Daniel built the first version of GriDDown in his garage. The mission: make professional-grade emergency coordination accessible to everyone, not just first responders.
